Introducing the FraudGuard API Analytics Endpoint: Insights Into Your Usage
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our FraudGuard API Analytics endpoint! This powerful feature provides users with a detailed view of their API usage and activity patterns, giving you valuable insights to monitor, optimize, and strategize more effectively.
What Does the API Analytics Endpoint Provide?
1. Total Usage Metrics
Get a complete overview of your API calls over the last 30 days, broken down into:
- Total Requests: The total number of API calls made during the reporting period.
- Blacklisted Count: Number of API requests flagged as blacklisted.
- Whitelisted Count: Number of API requests flagged as whitelisted.
- Geoblocked Count: Number of API requests flagged due to geographic restrictions.
2. Risk Level Distribution
The API provides a breakdown of requests by assessed risk levels (1 to 5), as determined by FraudGuard’s Attack Correlation Engine (ACE). Higher levels indicate greater risk.
3. Threat Distribution
See which threats are most prevalent across your API traffic. Threats are categorized by FraudGuard’s Attack Correlation Engine (ACE). For more details, refer to our Threat Documentation.
4. Top APIs
Understand how your API endpoints are being used. This breakdown reveals which APIs are driving the most traffic, enabling you to monitor high-demand services.
5. Geographic Overview
Discover the geographic distribution of requests based on the IP lookup information in FraudGuard APIs. This allows you to pinpoint regions generating the most traffic and identify geographic hotspots of malicious activity.
6. Daily Breakdown
Monitor API activity over time with a daily breakdown of total request counts for the last 30 days.
Why Is This Important?
This API equips you with critical data to:
- Monitor threat trends in real time.
- Identify geographic hotspots of suspicious activity.
- Optimize API usage and adjust limits or restrictions accordingly.
- Gain visibility into how your team or applications interact with FraudGuard APIs.
